Praïs

Celebrate every meal. Nourish every life. Catering, a restaurant in Buea and nutrition consultancy, from A Mumita Company.

Born in Buea

The name comes from praise, and all it carries: celebration, excellence and uplift.

Praïs started in Buea, one of Cameroon’s busiest university towns, in answer to two problems at once: high unemployment among young people, especially young women, and a growing reliance on cheap, poor-quality fast food.

We saw a way to work on both: serve students affordable, healthy meals, and give young people work and skills while we do it. So Praïs is a restaurant, and it is also a social enterprise built on food.

Food, health and work

What we do

One kitchen, four services

Each service ties back to food, health or work.

Event catering

Corporate events, weddings, banquets and workshops, and large-scale catering for institutions and hospitals. Every menu is cooked for quality and balance, and presented with care.

The restaurant

Everyday dining in Buea, for the busy student and the health-conscious professional alike, served affordably and with dignity. The menu starts from semi-prepared Mumita Foods ingredients.

Nutrition consultancy

Diet consultancy and meal plans for individuals and institutions, with special packages for diabetes, hypertension and weight loss.
